Conflict of Interest Policy

HIKAMI: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir is committed to ensuring transparency, objectivity, and fairness throughout the publication process. A conflict of interest arises when personal, financial, professional, institutional, or other relationships could influence, or reasonably be perceived to influence, the scholarly judgment of authors, reviewers, or editors.

Authors must disclose any relevant financial and non-financial interests, funding, sponsorship, institutional affiliations, professional relationships, or personal interests that may be related to their manuscript. If no conflicts of interest exist, authors must explicitly declare this in their submission.

Reviewers and editors are also required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest and withdraw from the evaluation or handling of a manuscript when their impartiality may be compromised. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for determining appropriate measures to manage disclosed conflicts, including assigning alternative editors or reviewers when necessary.

The existence of a conflict of interest does not automatically prevent a manuscript from being reviewed or published. All disclosures will be assessed fairly to ensure that editorial decisions remain independent, transparent, and based on scholarly merit.
