HIKAMI: Jurnal Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir, published by STKQ Al-Hikam Depok, invites researchers and academics working in Qur’anic Studies, Tafsir Studies, and Ulum al-Quran to join our editorial board.

We are committed to fostering rigorous academic inquiry into the Qur’an and its interpretation, bridging established Islamic scholarly traditions with emerging research questions and contemporary approaches. As we continue to develop HIKAMI as a platform for meaningful scholarly exchange, we welcome colleagues who share our commitment to academic excellence, intellectual openness, and collaborative knowledge production.

Who Are We Looking For?

We welcome researchers and academics whose expertise aligns with HIKAMI’s focus and scope, including classical and contemporary tafsir, Qur’anic sciences, Qur’anic linguistics and literary studies, Qur’anic hermeneutics, and the reception of the Qur’an in Muslim societies.

We are particularly interested in colleagues who are willing to contribute actively to the editorial process, open to scholarly collaboration, and enthusiastic about advancing research in these fields. We welcome applications from established scholars as well as early-career academics and emerging researchers who are building their scholarly profiles.

We value scholarly expertise and commitment regardless of geographical location. Colleagues from Indonesia and beyond are equally welcome to express their interest in joining our editorial community.

Qualifications and Expertise

Prospective editorial board members should meet the following criteria:

• Hold a PhD or a master’s degree in Qur’anic Studies, Tafsir Studies, Ulum al-Qur'an, or a closely related field.

• Demonstrate an active research profile through scholarly publications within the past five years.

• Be willing to contribute to editorial activities, including manuscript evaluation, peer-review coordination, and the journal’s academic development, as appropriate to their role.

• Demonstrate a commitment to academic integrity, constructive scholarly engagement, and collaborative work.

We particularly encourage applications from early-career scholars and recent doctoral graduates who are developing their academic careers and wish to contribute to a growing scholarly publication.
