Open Access Statement

IKAMI: Jurnal Ilmu Alquran dan Tafsir is a fully open access journal that provides immediate, free access to all published articles upon publication, without charging readers or their institutions subscription fees.

Readers are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to the full text, use articles for indexing, process them as data, and reuse or adapt the published material for any lawful purpose, including commercial purposes, without prior permission from the publisher or authors, provided that the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license are followed.

HIKAMI's open access policy is based on the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and aims to promote the dissemination of knowledge, increase research visibility, and support the development of Qur'anic studies and tafsir for the academic community and the wider public.

The journal's open access policy includes the following provisions:

  • Free Access: All published articles are available to readers free of charge, without subscription fees.

  • Immediate Access: Articles are made available immediately upon publication, without an embargo period.

  • No Reader Registration Required: Readers are not required to register or create an account to read or download openly accessible articles.

  • Open License: Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license. Users must provide appropriate attribution to the authors and the original publication. Any adaptations distributed must be shared under the same license.

  • Self-Archiving: Authors may deposit and share their published works in institutional repositories or other academic platforms, subject to the terms of the CC BY-SA 4.0 license and HIKAMI's Copyright and License Policy.
