COPYRIGHT AND STATEMENT

HIKAMI: Journal of Qur’anic Studies and Tafsir has adopted several Open Access Policy declarations and uses the CC BY-SA 4.0 License. Simply put, this license relates to:

1. Attribution (BY):
Users must give proper credit to the original author. Attribution must include appropriate information about the work (e.g., the author's name, article title, source, and other publication details).

2. ShareAlike (SA):
If someone creates a derivative work, it must be shared under the same license, namely CC BY-SA 4.0. This means that derivative works cannot be licensed under a more restrictive license.

3. Flexibility of Use:
a) This license allows users to distribute, adapt, and create derivative works in various ways, for both commercial and non-commercial purposes.
b) The only limitation is that users must provide proper attribution and allow derivative works to be shared under the same license.

4. International and Universal:
This license applies internationally, without geographical restrictions. This means that users around the world can benefit from the published work by following the established terms.

The CC BY-SA 4.0 License promotes open scholarly collaboration and ensures that original works are respected while allowing them to grow and be freely distributed.

Therefore, all authors are required to agree to this copyright and licensing policy upon publication. This policy is also intended to support HIKAMI, the Open Access Policy, and the implementation of the CC BY-SA 4.0 License.
