Hikami : Jurnal Ilmu Alquran dan Tafsir, journal dedicated to disseminating scholarly studies of the Quran from various scientific perspectives, reflecting the diversity of approaches and characteristics within this field.

Aligned with the Quranic Studies and Tafsir program, this journal is committed to upholding ethical behavior standards at all stages of the publication process and we recommend the Publication Ethics Committee.

Publication Ethics for Journal Editors

Editors are responsible for everything published in the journal after obtaining approval from the editorial board. Editors should assess the quality of the material they receive for the journal and be willing to publish corrections and clarifications when necessary, including legal requirements related to defamation, intellectual property, and plagiarism.

  1. Editors should act fairly and impartially in carrying out their duties, without discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religious or political beliefs.
  2. Members of the editorial team should not disclose any information related to the articles without the author's consent.
  3. Editors should promptly return articles that are not accepted for publication in this journal and should not use them for personal purposes.
  4. Editors should provide guidance to authors and reviewers regarding expectations from them.

Publication Ethics for Reviewers

Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions on submitted papers/articles.

  1. Reviewers are responsible for their review recommendations.
  2. Paper reviews should be conducted objectively and supported by clear arguments.
  3. Reviewers are responsible for citations, references, and plagiarism issues for the reviewed articles.
  4. Reviewers should maintain the confidentiality of information for personal gain.

Responsibilities of Authors

  1. Authors should present their thoughts or research articles honestly, without plagiarism or data manipulation.
  2. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the information conveyed in their articles.
  3. Authors should comply with publication requirements, including originality of work, non-plagiarism, and the article not being published previously in any other journal or publication.
  4. Authors should provide references for opinions and works of others that are cited.
  5. Authors should write papers or articles ethically, honestly, and responsibly, following applicable scientific writing conventions.
  6. Authors are prohibited from submitting/publishing the same article in more than one journal or publication.
  7. Authors should not object if their manuscript undergoes editing without changing the substance or basic idea of the writing.
